gold hoops in some variation are something that look great on every woman and can go with the most basic of outfits. hoops made with real gold hover around $400, but the imitation ones look just about the same. if i had to choose one thing to have it would be a pair of gold hoops. here are some of my favorites...

tired of wearing the same black sweat pants and white henley with your puffer vest? do you want to look put together with little effort? i will try to post outfit ideas that will work for the typical day-in-the-life of a woman with not enough time to devote to herself or the way she looks...  


this sweater is such a great option because you can wear it with "boyfriend" jeans, trouser jeans, skinny jeans, straight leg jeans, cords, etc. it can be worn open or zipped up. here, i have paired with with these great jeans from Gap...they are a balance between the skinny jean and the "boyfriend" jean. They can be worn with flats or heels when you want to dress then up. these flats were featured in a previous post, but continue to be a great basic.

Anthropologie typically updates their sale items on Tuesdays, so it is a great day to go to the stores and check the latest stuff on sale.

buyer beware...

Okay so everyone knows I LOVE  FOEVER 21... BUT, last week I purchased a darling black fur vest ( did I mention I'm going thru a " fur vest" phase?) that was on sale. I got it home and put it on and it had a tear in the front where you would attach the little toggles....So I took it back with tags on and RECEIPT! they looked at me like I was nuts....So everyone out there who loves to shop at Forever 21 ,remember they will NOT return ANYTHING that is on sale regardless of whether they sold it  to you damaged or not. I was very angry and I left the vest there. Knowing them they will probably try to re-sell the darn thing! As fun it is to shop there, beware that the sale stuff could be damaged and they WILL not help you out.

Flats for less than $50!!!

buying a decent pair of shoes under $100 can be a challenge, but i have found some adorable, sophisticated and unique flats that won't break your wallet...can't beat that!

let's start with Old Navy.

these are a great pair of flats that are BEYOND cheap, but super cute. i like the green or the black, personally.

these are fun, i like them in bronze or pewter.

at Gap, i love these for a great pair of basic black flats.

at Nordstrom, they have a few pairs on sale for a great buy!

these are a cute black patent option, similar to the ones at the Gap but with the bow detail.

the zipper detail on the bow of these are super fun!

for spring, or for those in warmer climates, i think these are cute.

always check the reviews when available because they can be really helpful when buying online.

not your basic black jacket...
