"must have" accessories
if you are looking for a few staple pieces of jewelry without spending too much money, here are some ideas for great things that you can wear versatilely...
gold hoops in some variation are something that look great on every woman and can go with the most basic of outfits. hoops made with real gold hover around $400, but the imitation ones look just about the same. if i had to choose one thing to have it would be a pair of gold hoops. here are some of my favorites...
these hoops are from Banana Republic for $25. they have great jewelry at really reasonable prices.
i found these at Shopbop and am loving the delicate feather detail. sells for $39.
these are a little more of a splurge, but how great are they? max & chloe for $106 + free shipping.
you can find basic gold hoops anywhere. stores like Forever 21 have them for around $5!

sale at jcrew...
great sale at jcrew...it helps ease the pain of shipping costs!
here are some picks of mine from their sale...
i love jcrew's graphic tees that look embellished or vintage or both. you can't go wrong with any of them.

this tee is on sale for $14.99 from $42.50
this tee looks like a piece of art, so cute for $24.50

here's another great piece for layering under a cardigan or blazer, on sale for $29.00

this is a great cardigan ($59) that has the ruffle incorporated so you can wear a plain layer underneath

love this. a splurge for some, but it's cashmere & originally $168, on sale for $79. it's unique & guarantees compliments

so vogue has a section for their readers that highlights the latest "must have" in trends. i am highlighting one of them today. we can't fall victim to each and every trend that comes our way...but, selecting a few at reasonable prices is all part of the fun. and all in the name of fashion.
the military-inspired jacket:
you can find them everywhere; vintage-inspired & rock-n-roll. here's a few that won't cost an arm and a leg.
this one is at Zara, on sale for $39.

this one is from Piperlime, designed by BB Dakota, sells for $84 + free shipping as always with Piperlime.
this one is from Nordstrom, designed my Steve Madden. it's a little more of a coat vs. something you would wear as an open blazer. it is on sale for $49.

outfit suggestions...
tired of wearing the same black sweat pants and white henley with your puffer vest? do you want to look put together with little effort? i will try to post outfit ideas that will work for the typical day-in-the-life of a woman with not enough time to devote to herself or the way she looks...
this sweater is such a great option because you can wear it with "boyfriend" jeans, trouser jeans, skinny jeans, straight leg jeans, cords, etc. it can be worn open or zipped up. here, i have paired with with these great jeans from Gap...they are a balance between the skinny jean and the "boyfriend" jean. They can be worn with flats or heels when you want to dress then up. these flats were featured in a previous post, but continue to be a great basic.
